Josh's Hero....Tyler

We have some serious hero worshipping going on at our house. Anyone who knows Josh, knows that he is quite strong willed, so we have to start on his Halloween costume really early to make sure it meets his standards.
This year without hesitation he said he wanted to be a BYU Football player. I was excited because that is an easy costume to find. A few minutes into the search I realized that not just any BYU football uniform was going to work. He NEEDED to be #31. That is the number of his cousin Tyler on the BYU Football team. Josh is a HUGE Tyler fan, if he can't make it to the games he will sit and watch every minute of the game on TV, just hoping to see Tyler, and Tyler gets on TV all the time, so it's worth his time.
So now the funny story part: After I received the costume I had Josh try it on. Josh asked me if I had under armor for his arms so he didn't get cold. I told him that he could just wear a sweatshirt under and then he would be plenty warm. Josh informed me that he couldn't do that because it would make him look fat. So I informed Josh that lots of football players were fat so it would be perfect. Then Josh informed me that blockers were fat.
So I informed Josh that it was Halloween and he could be absolutely ANY position he wanted to be, that he gets to choose, so he could just be a blocker. Then Josh looked at me like I was the dumbest person to walk on this earth and said: "I am the back-up punter (the position Tyler plays), and the back-up punter isn't fat!"

Timpview Cheer clinic & Conference weekend

This is Halle and her 2 BFF's (Maddie & Sophie). They all participated in the Timpview Cheer clinic and were able to cheer for the first half of the Timpview football game.

Here they are in action!

During priesthood the girls decided to go see the remake of the movie "Fame."

Poor Josh had to come along, because he wasn't old enough to stay home alone or go to priesthood. He was THE ONLY boy in the entire theater. Everyone else must have had the same girls night out idea during priesthood that we had. You can see he brought his DS complete with headphones!
And for those waiting, we expected Jordan's mission call yesterday but it didn't come. The Bishop checked on it and the status still says, "ready for assignment." We are hoping that it comes next Wednesday, I will post something as soon as we hear anything.

Where in the World is Jordan...going?

Jordan officially sent in her missionary papers this past Sunday. In our front entry hall we have set up some maps and anyone who comes to the house (UPS man/wrong address/neighbors/salesmen) have to make a guess as to: 1) where she is going, 2)what date she is leaving, 3) what language she will speak, if any. If you can't make it by the house just send me a message of where you think she will go and we will put up a flag for you!
A USA map!
A World Map!
We have GREAT prizes for the winners! We have stationary to write her letters on, colorful pens to write her colorful letters, birthday, halloween, & Christmas cards to send her when she is gone. As well as the grand prize of....books of stamps to use to send her letters!

BYU Football!

Josh at the BYU Football Game on Saturday! He had so much fun!
Josh waited until the bitter end of the game, because the most important part of the game for him was seeing his cousin Tyler (who plays on the team) after!

1st Day of School!

Here are Josh & Halle on their first day of school! It is so sad that after 21 years with someone home with me, Halle started 1st grade. For the last few weeks she has been feeling so sorry for me that I will be home all alone. She keeps giving me ideas of what I can do while she is gone, such as go to work with Brad or go shopping with my friends. She also told me that I could sign up and go to school with her to help her teacher and then we could still be together ALL of the time. Here is Josh & Halle with their cousins, Brittney & Matthew & our friend (almost family), Kai (Hirsche) Rumsey outside of Edgemont on the first day!

Halle all ready to go!

Matthew & Me & San Antonio

San Antonio is one of my all time favorite cities. I took Matthew and his friend Yannick there for a tennis tournament a few weeks ago. Here they are eating chips & salsa on the Riverwalk!

Another picture on the Riverwalk.
